You don't have to be a hardcore football fan to find NBC Sports' promo for their coverage of the Premier League hilarious. Which is the whole point of the endeavor -- to spread the gospel of football to as many American viewers as possible in the funniest way possible. It's irreverent if you're a football purist. But the objective is to get even non-football fans in the United States interested. They got the right man for the job too - SNL's Jason Sudeikis. With sports-pop-culture references to the Dallas Cowboys and Game of Thrones, what's not to like? The tagline says it all - "It's Football. Just Not as we know it." MH
