23-kilometer recon run for TBRDM in Nuvali.

Last Saturday, we were at Nuvali for a 23k recon run for the 2013 The Bull Runner Dream Marathon (TBRDM). This 5:00am recon run served as a rehearsal ahead of February's TBRDM. I already survived last year's TBRDM so I was there to accompany my Team RunToms teammate Walter de Jesus as a Dream Marathon alumni. That's my teammate Walter in the pic.

It was a good opportunity to run the marathon course with other TBRDM participants in Nuvali. Parang tune-up game. Run the course. Know the course. Before the actual event. And Nuvali is a challenging course. The more familiar you are with Nuvali (and Nuvali is huuuuuge inside), the better.

Walter will be running his first-ever marathon during next month's TBRDM. I, therefore, acted as Walter's "pacer" last Saturday morning. So naturally, because of me, bumagal pace niya haha.

At about the 18-kilometer mark, we started to dream about breakfast. In other words, nahihilo na kami sa pagod at gutom. Luckily, we saw a Taho vendor. Look at the pic. We weren't the only runners happy to see Manong Mag-Ta-Taho.

As many tweeps pointed out yesterday, Manong Mag-Ta-Taho bears this crazy resemblance to Alaska's Cyrus Baguio. Hard to disagree with them. Skyrus na Skyrus. I need to find this man the next time we run in Nuvali haha.

Weekend 23-kilometer run. Done. Burger time! MH
